UMI Subframe Connectors - Bolt In

The first and only 2-point tubular bolt-in subframe connector is now available from UMI Performance. This set up is designed to tie the front and rear subframes together using bolt-in hardware supplied and requires no welding! Subframe connectors improve your car's handling ability while reducing t-top squeaks, dash rattles and quarter panel flexing, designed for auto-cross, road race as well as drag race set-ups. By connecting the front and rear subframes together this allows better weight transfer for improved traction and straighter launches. This set-up tucks tight against the floor using strong DOM tubing, causes no ground clearance loss and can not be seen from the side of the vehicle.


Chrome Moly- Chrome Moly version uses 1.750" x 0.095" 4130 Chrome Moly steel and is TIG welded. The Chrome Moly construction adds increased strength while reducing product weight making this item 4bs lighter then using mild steel. UMI Subframe Connectors - Weld In

Minimize chassis flex and increase performance capabilities on your 93-02 GM F-Body with boxed style weld-in subframe connectors from UMI Performance. Subframe connectors are a must chassis upgrade when racing and hard driving habits are present. They greatly improve your car's handling ability while reducing t-top squeaks, dash rattles and quarter panel flexing. Subframe connectors essentially tie the front and rear steel subframes together, resulting in a stiffened and strengthened chassis, allowing better weight transfer and improved traction when launching. When strength is a concern, square tubing has greater torsion resistance over tubular designs. Will work with all aftermarket exhaust systems and does not effect ground clearance. This weld-in style requires no bolts to tighten ever and less chance of flex compared to bolt-in types.

Bolt-In Hardware Option: UMI Performance offers the option of purchasing hardware to bolt this set-up in place. This allows the user the install the subframe connectors now and have them welded at a later date if desired. This differs from our bolt in version subframe connector (#2027) because this set-up offers additional welding points not found on our bolt on set-up. The hardware supplied makes this set-up a 100% bolt in and will require no drilling, cutting or grinding.
